Maserati MSG Racing, second act. The Italian team is preparing to take part in its second season of FIA Formula E, with the category having reached the tenth of its history, with the pre-tests at the Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.
This morning the Tipo Folgore, the Gen3 single-seater that will also race in the tenth season of the full electric open-wheel category, was unveiled with the new colors that it will wear starting from the tests on the Valencian track.
No livery revolution, but only further touches to the already beautiful color with which the car was presented a year ago. The copper glance, or Copper Folgore color, has been added to the classic Maserati blue and the black used for the wings and aerodynamic appendages.

This is a chromatic feature that aims to link the Gen3 with the journey towards electrification which, by 2030, will constitute 100% of the electrified range. The Copper Folgore color was placed on the part of the bodywork just in front of the rear wheels, almost like sun rays spreading across the blue.
For the rest, the differences compared to the 2023 livery will be minimal. One of these is the greater presence of blue on the sides, while last year black dominated. Another small difference can be noticed on the vertical profiles of the front wing, where the rainbow colors no longer find space.
In the past season, the one which ended a few weeks ago, Maserati obtained 2 pole positions, 4 podiums and the victory in Jakarta. For the brand it was a historic result, which represented the first victory for a Maserati single-seater 64 years after the last one (at the 1957 German Formula 1 Grand Prix).

With a power of 350 kW, the car reaches a top speed of over 200 mph (approximately 321 km/h), while thanks to the regenerative braking capacity of 600 kW, 40% of the energy used in the race comes from regeneration.
With 17 stops, including the new one in Tokyo, Japan, the 10th season of the Formula E championship will be the longest of the series, and will begin on January 13, 2024 in Mexico City after the conclusion of pre-season testing.
