Ayrton Senna apparently really liked a Honda NSX. He has owned three, two black and one red. The red one is now going on sale. So this is your chance to get behind the wheel of the car that three-time F1 world champion Ayrton Senna drove and drifted. Expect some requests from Senna fan clubs to be allowed to pet the thing when you buy the car.
Even when the NSX was introduced, this Honda was a fine example of technology. A 3.0-liter V6 with VTEC was located in the middle of the quite long carriage. The engine of Ayrton Senna's ex-car produces 275 hp. As the NSX gets older, the demand for it and especially the price has increased enormously. NSXs are becoming increasingly scarce, especially special models like the Type-R.
What happened to the NSX after Senna's death?
The Honda NSX first lived in Portugal, but for a few years now it has been living in colder England. The owner, who has had it since 2013, is now selling the NSX Autotrader for a paltry half a million pounds. The car has covered just over 39,000 miles, which is over 62,000 kilometers. It is not known how many kilometers were driven with Senna behind the wheel.
Before the car is sold, it can still shine at a special Senna exhibition at Silverstone, between August 23 and 25. After this, the NSX can go to the new owner. Assuming you don't have half a million euros in an old sock somewhere or just received a financial windfall, you, like us, can only dream of these kinds of cars.
