The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has announced the opening of an investigationin charge of a panel of three experts, on the controversy caused by the accusations of the world champion, the Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, against the American Hans Niemann as a result of the game that the latter won in the recent Sinquefield Cup in San Luis (EE .USA).
The Fide Fair Gaming Commission, chaired by the Lithuanian Salomeja Zaksaite, has decided to act ex officio in the case, which has raised orA great controversy in the chess world after Carlsen’s decisionswho withdrew from the US tournament after his face-to-face loss to Niemann in the third round and then abandoned his game against the American in the Julius Baer online tournament in two moves.
Everything, further clouded by the striking theory that Elon Musk launched and that has been promoted by the press: the alleged use of anal Chinese balls.
(In context: Chinese anal balls: this is how the dark trap that scandalizes chess would work).
Formal investigation into the scandal
The panel that will investigate the matter will be made up of three people and may request the advice of other experts if they consider it necessary, explains Fide on its official website.
The investigation will deal with the allegations published by Carlsen about the alleged cheating committed by Niemann and the confession, by him, of having done it in online games, but not in face-to-face games on the board.
The Fair Play Commission requests, “in the interest of the chess community”, that “speculation about potential sanctions cease until all data is considered and the investigation is concluded”Zaksaite commented.
Carlsen issued a statement on Monday saying Niemann “has cheated more – and more recently – than he has publicly admitted.”
In a letter to his “dear chess world”, Carlsen wrote: “At the Sinquefield Cup 2022 I made the unprecedented professional decision to withdraw from the tournament after my third round game against Hans Niemann.
A week later, during the Champions Chess Tour, I resigned against Hans Niemann after playing only one move.”
The world champion thinks that “cheating in chess is a big problem and an existential threat to the game” and believes that “chess organizers and everyone who cares about the purity of the game should seriously consider increasing security measures and cheat detection methods”.
“I think Niemann has cheated more – and more recently – than he has publicly admitted. His progress on the board has been unusual, and throughout our game in the Sinquefield Cup I had the impression that he was not tense or even fully focused on the game in critical positions while outplaying me with black in a way that I think only a handful of players can do. That game helped change my perspective”, explained the Norwegian, who has not presented concrete evidence against the American.
On September 19, Magnus Carlsen abandoned his game in the Julius Baer Generation Cup online tournament against Hans Niemann on the second move, the same rival to whom, two weeks earlier, he lost in the Sinquefield Cup in San Luis (United States) in a classic rhythm game that induced the Norwegian to withdraw from the tournament insinuating that the North American had cheated.
Niemann, number 49 in the world chess ranking, had defeated Carlsen in San Luis with black, ending the streak of games without losing that the world champion had extended to 53.
This is how the dark trap would work
Chinese balls are a device that works to increase the muscle tone of the pelvic floor. It can also be used as a sex toy.
In chess, according to the striking theory, it would be used to transmit the movements that a player should make from the vibrations of the device.
“The mechanics of the cheat would be simple: an accomplice who was watching the game live (as it was actually being broadcast), could simulate the real game on a computer and see its movements. Later, through vibrations, he could “tell” the would-be cheater what the suggested moves would be. Anal beads would easily pass any security check.”explains the Spanish portal ‘La Razón’.
