Well, calling this a Vantage is a bit of an understatement, but not entirely incorrect for the most expensive Aston Martin in the Netherlands.
Let's start with a small point: I have never really understood the trend of 'Speedster'-like cars. Without a doubt, every example, at least recent, is probably cooler with a fixed roof. The problem with most cars is that you have to ask a photo shopper for that. The SLR McLaren Stirling Moss, Ferrari Monza SP and McLaren Elva may be based on an SLR McLaren, Ferrari 812 Superfast and McLaren 720S, but are uniquely designed in terms of styling without a roof and windscreen.

Aston Martin
The only exception is Aston Martin. It could have been different if the above CC100 had been put into production, we still wanted to name it, but the result was actually a kind of Vantage, but slightly flashier and of course without a roof or windshield. And when you have the choice, it suddenly becomes a pretty cool idea.

V12 Speedster
The Aston Martin V12 Speedster was therefore perfectly timed with rivals McLaren Elva and Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2. The basis was a Vantage, but this was the first time that the 5.2 liter Twin Turbo V12 was included in the second generation Vantage. Actually, this car was the first proof that a V12 Vantage is possible. Yet that means nothing, because Aston kept the V12 Speedster so exclusive that these types of engine versions can just as easily remain exclusive. Only 88 copies were built.

Styling
The styling of the Aston Martin V12 Speedster had to be slightly modified to accommodate the V12, with cooling holes at the front appearing better than the standard Vantage. The back in particular contains two very nice styling elements. The lack of a rear roofline left room for two aerodynamic bumps behind the headrests. This is reminiscent of the DBR1, to start with. Glass is incorporated into each bump, so you can see that the bumps have a double function as storage space for your helmet.

The lack of a roofline and trunk also means that the line behind the driver's area slopes downwards and the Vantage's unusually shaped continuous taillight suddenly has a double function as a spoiler.

The undersigned is a fan of the Aston Martin V12 Speedster because of these kinds of details. The cigar-shaped openings in the sheet metal for the seating area, with a bar in between, also make the Speedster unique.

Duration
Basically you want the Aston Martin V12 Speedster with the DBR1 Heritage package, where the car looks very similar to the DBR1 with its green paint and white dots for racing numbers. With this copy you have to make do with a somewhat business specification: Skyfall Silver with a black interior. Many wishes, but that is allowed for the amount of 1,035,000 euros. Ex VAT. So all-in you can pay 1,252,350 euros for this V12 Speedster.

To buy
For that money you have, as far as we can find, the most expensive Aston Martin in the Netherlands and certainly the most expensive Vantage. Anyway, calling this a Vantage is a bit like calling King Willem-Alexander a resident of The Hague: it is true, but actually much more than that.

So please take a look the Kroymans website to see whether you also think the Aston Martin V12 Speedster is cool, or whether you would never spend a million for an Aston or Vantage.
