Mexico City.- Not in vain in 2018 the designer Maria Grazia Chiuri, A recent arrival at the Dior house, she recreated, near Paris, an entire charro canvas showing beautiful outfits inspired by Hidalgo’s skirmishes that soon went viral on networks, and were later worn by many celebrities on the planet’s red carpets. .
And it is that the cultural power of Mexico is very powerful and current, especially when talking about the art of charrería, considered since 2016 as Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Thus, white blouses with high necks and lace accompanied by wide and pleated skirts, embroidery with flowers, serapes, the use of white and black for them; and for them, nothing like the typical charro suit, which has as its antecedent the chinaco suit in 1847, with its slender silhouette and silver details, are elements that define the national fashion.
With this purpose in mind, the photographers Jorge Ruiz and Arturo Díaz decided to carry out this session, which is currently being exhibited in full reform avenue, where garments made by Mexican designers inspired by this equestrian art are displayed.
