Todd Howard’s response to criticism from Starfield fans
In an interview, Todd Howard responded directly to the criticism and confirmed his intention to analyze Bethesda’s pricing for Creations content, which obviously doesn’t mean we should expect changes.
“We hear this feedback too,” Howard said. “First of all I will say that we price things based on what we’ve done before, both in Creation Club and in Fallout 76, and we always try to look at what’s out there, to make sure we give value to everyone and if we don’t, we will certainly adjust.”
“The only thing I want to say about the Trackers Alliance is that it was an attempt to do something in the Creation Club, like: “You will receive a special outfit and a special weapon”, we wanted to put them together and then we thought let’s take it a step further and put them into a mission “.
“But now we’ve seen the feedback, right? And we don’t want the impression to be ‘oh no, this feels like a faction that we’re tearing apart and then selling for 700 credits at a time.’ So I think we’ll take a look at this appearance and al how we deliver content of this kind, and whether to change the prices or divide them or what we should do. So, great feedback from the community.”
Howard insisted, however, that Bethesda’s policy on paid mods takes care of the health of the mod community.
“In terms of, specifically, the creators out there, our view is that a lot of them are went from hobbyists to professionals. And it’s part of our job to make sure that they can do that and that they get paid and that they see the monetary rewards if they create great content,” Howard said.
In the same interview Howard also talked about The Elder Scrolls 6.
