Megacorporations like Apple and Meta seem like untouchable entities that always get their way, however, this is not always the case. The European Commission is going to let these two companies down for violating the rules of the Digital Markets Act.
It happens that the Commission reported that it is going after Apple for going around the Arc de Triomphe when it comes to charging developers for using third-party payment services. On the other hand, Meta is also pursued for its Facebook ad-free option in the European Union.
Now, this is not to say that the European Commission will not allow large companies to correct course at some point, however, they will have a deadline to do so. Now, the first target is the company from Cupertino, California.
It is worth noting that these companies usually bend the rules until the last moment and that is why they also go to the last moments. Technically, they apply the famous patented technique of “it is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.”

Apple and Meta are two entities pursued by regulators
It is worth noting that both technology and services companies are covered by several factors and among them is being located in the United States. The point is that, when they violate the law in other parts of the world, justice falls on them.
Both Apple and Meta end up giving in to pressure from European governments, however, that does not mean they change their way of operating. The truth is that we are likely to see a real change in the operating mode of both companies.
Finally, both companies only care about their profits and not that of their users. what do you think about this news? Don’t stop following all our news on Google news and join our Discord.
