Monkeypox confirmed in Mexico in 50-year-old man

Mexico confirmed the first case of monkeypox in the country. The 50-year-old man lives in the United States and was possibly infected in the Netherlands. Through social networks, the Mexican Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López-Gatell, said that the patient is doing well and is being treated in Mexico City.

Cases of the disease are multiplying across Europe and the United States and have already reached South America, with two confirmed cases yesterday in Argentina. Spain and the United Kingdom are the European countries with the highest number of infected with the virus.
