Max Verstappen won the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. After building a solid lead in the early stages thanks to a good start from the pole positionVerstappen’s race was mostly uneventful at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, until Norris’ McLaren began to close the gap to second place in the closing stages of the race.
The finish was thrilling, with Norris continuing to reduce Verstappen’s lead. However, a sudden oversteer wore down the McLaren’s tires further, allowing Red Bull to maintain first place by a margin of just 0.725 seconds at the finish.
Although he seemed to be able to compete for second place with Norris, Charles Leclerc he had to settle for third position, taking Ferrari to the podium in front of the home fans. Oscar Piastri took fourth place with a solid performance for McLaren.
Carlos Sainz added important points for Ferrari with a fifth place, followed by Lewis Hamiltonsixth for Mercedes, and his teammate George Russellseventh, who made a late pit stop to fit medium tires and got the extra point for the fastest lap.
Sergio Perez he recovered up to eighth position for Red Bull after a difficult qualifying which saw him start from eleventh place, while Lance Stroll he got the points for Aston Martin with ninth place. Yuki Tsunoda finally he closed the top 10 with a hard-fought race.
