The criticism against “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” does not end. Days ago, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Amazon Prime Video blocked the possibility of rating the series on its platform for 72 hours, with the aim of avoiding low ratings by “internet trolls”.
With only two episodes aired, the fiction inspired by JRR Tolkien’s characters has divided the public. In that line, who joined the comments against his scenes is the owner of Tesla, Elon Musk, since, through his Twitter account, he spoke negatively about the production.
“Tolkien is turning in his grave”, the CEO wrote on the social network. “Almost all the male characters, so far, are cowards, idiots or both. Only Galadriel is brave, smart and kind,” he added.

Not only the fans responded to the billionaire; Neil Gaiman, creator of “Sandman” and a follower of Tolkien’s work, used the same platform to answer the tweet against the series.

“Elon Musk doesn’t come to me for advice on how to fail his Twitter buy, and I don’t advise him on film, TV, or literature reviews,” the writer shared.
Despite the bad comments, the “Lord of the Rings” series has been a great success for Amazon Prime Video, streaming that reported that his fiction got 25 million viewers in the first two aired episodes. At the moment, “The Rings of Power” is the service’s biggest premiere.
