The reggaeton megastar, Daddy Yankee, made more than 40 thousand Peruvians sing and dance tonight at the National Stadium as part of the first concert of the two that he announced in Peru and that are included in his farewell tour “The last turn”.
The artist Puerto Rican appeared on the stage of the José Díaz colossus at 10:12 pm and kicked off tonight’s event singing “Problema” and “Rompe”. After this last song, he paused to recognize the support for his music that Peruvians gave him.
“Thank you for the love and for supporting the reggaeton”, said the international artist.
In addition, the ‘Cangry’ included Bad Bunny and Carol G.
At another point in the concert, Daddy Yankee also highlighted Peruvian cuisine; since shortly after stepping on Peruvian soil he was surprised by the owner of one of the most renowned cevicherías in Lima, who invited the singer the flag dish of Peru. Likewise, he greeted the constitutional province of Callao.
After half of the show and moments before singing the theme “Slowly”, The “Big Boss” took time to thank his Peruvian fans for their support throughout his successful career.
“They have always treated me super well, like a ‘brother’, like a brother,” Yankee began by saying. Later, visibly moved, he added: “My career would not have been the same if it hadn’t had a country like you, Peru.”
The song was also included in his repertoire “We are from the street” that allowed the reggaeton player to improvise some verses where he also made several references to our country and even shouted “Arriba Peru!”.
Secondly, daddy yankee added that every time he comes to Peru takes “a life lesson”.
It is worth mentioning that the urban artist is touring several countries with one last tour and then he will end his career of more than 25 years as singer of reggaeton.
During his career he has been the voice of innumerable world successes such as “What happened, happened”, “She picked me up”, “Older than me”, “Your prince”, “Emergency call”, “China”, “Here is your broth”, “Lovumba”, “Slowly” , “The farewell”, “What do I have to do”, “Rebellious Saturday”, “Pose” and the inevitable “The gas”.
They all sounded at their first concert in Lima this year.
