Men’s head coach of the national basketball team Lassi Tuovin Club team career continues in the Japanese league. The Basketball Association said in a press release that Tuovi has signed a two-season contract to be the head coach of Yokohama B-Corsairs of the Japanese league.
“Japan has been interested in our national team program for a long time, and they have received a positive impression of our skills. I hope this connection will bear fruit in the future”, commented Tuovi.
Last summer, Finland played its opening group of the World Cup in Japan. According to Tuov, basketball has been on the rise for a long time.
“For my part, I have to jump into an almost completely unknown basketball culture, which is, on the other hand, in many ways the best way to learn,” Tuovi said.
In the season that ended, Tuovi was part of the coaching team of Virtus Bologna in Italy. The club ended its season with Serie A silver.
