More bad weather for Veneto: civil protection has issued a hydrogeological alert for tomorrow 17 June
Italy is preparing to face the arrival of the African anticyclone and the record temperatures it will bring with it. However, not all regions can boast summer temperatures: in Veneto the meteorological situation remains unstable. The Civil Protection has in fact issued a warning weather alert yellow for hydraulic risk in some sectors of the Region.
According to the forecast, for tomorrow Monday June 17th thunderstorms are still expected in some areas of the Veneto, in particular in Basso Brenta-Bacchiglione and Fratta Gorzone, Adige-Garda and the Lessini mountains, Po, Fissero-Tartaro-Canalbianco and Basso Adige. These are the same areas for which the alert has also been issued for today, Sunday 16 June.

The weather forecast indicates that tomorrow the clouds will concentrate mainly on the Alps and Pre-Alps, with the possibility of some isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. In the rest of Italy, however, the sky will be predominantly clear or slightly cloudy, with only some temporary cloud cover especially in the North-West.

Starting from Tuesday 18 June, all of Italy will be affected by an exceptional African heat wave, thanks to the arrival of the anticyclone Minos. Temperatures will rise above the threshold of 40°C, with heat peaks expected especially in Sicily and Sardinia, but also in some cities on the continent such as Benevento, Foggia, Rome, Florence and Frosinone.
