Mexico City- The new generation of Huawei MateBook X Pro laptops has arrived in Mexico. It is the 2022 version that although it maintains most of its DNA, it has evolved to improve the experience when collaborating and creating anywhere.
The equipment repeats a compact and lightweight design, with a thickness of 3.1 cm and an approximate weight of 1.38 kilos. That facilitate your mobility. Its body is inspired by a sports car, with softened curves, a new wedge-shaped element to improve grip and has finishes that give the equipment greater elegance.
Its 14.2-inch Huawei Real Color FullView display has a 92.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, displays a resolution of 3120 x 2080 pixels, with a maximum brightness of 500 nits and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. According to the company, it is the first Huawei laptop to support the P3 color gamut and 1.7 billion colors, which would bring greater fidelity and precision to designers and content creators.
Although the laptop is light, it has high performance, integrating eleventh generation Intel Core i7 processors, accompanied by 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD storage. Its graphics are powered by Intel Iris Xe.
In case the workload increases, users can activate Performance Mode by pressing the Fn+P keys, which raises the CPU’s Thermal Design Power (TDP) to 30W. The MateBook X Pro is supported by the new cooling duo consisting of two new Huawei Shark Fin fans and the new ultra-thin vapor chamber cooling system. These systems work quietly to keep your PC quiet and cool, without sacrificing power.
For entertainment, the computer boasts a set of 6 Huawei Sound speakers, with woofers designed to exude 3D surround sound, boosting bass and treble, without distorting the audio, and adding greater depth to the experience.
Given the increased use of webcams in this new normal, Huawei changed the location of the camera. It is now at the top of the screen. It has a resolution of HD 720P and is compatible with Windows 11 facial recognition, although it also maintains the fingerprint sensor on the power button to unlock the computer quickly and more securely.
In order to capture the user’s voice with great clarity, the computer has four microphones along the edge, placed in a new design to capture 360-degree audio within a radius of five meters. These microphones are equipped with AI noise cancellation algorithms to minimize ambient sounds and reverberation.
A novelty in the equipment is its trackpad called Huawei Free Touch, which now supports six intuitive gestures that serve as shortcuts to take screenshots, record the screen, modify its brightness, increase or decrease the volume, advance or return a song and see the notification center.
Another innovation in this model is that MateBook X Pro supports Super Device technology, which allows the computer to connect with other compatible Huawei mobile devices, with the help of AI. To start pairing, users just need to click the Control Panel icon in the bottom right corner and open Super Device. They will then drag the detected device icons onto the PC icon and pair with that.
According to Huawei, users will be able to take advantage of the mobile application ecosystem even more, since with the new Windows 11, the computer will be compatible with Android apps.
As with last year’s version, the laptop will also feature integrations with Huawei smartphones or tablets, such as Multi-Screen Collaboration, which allows up to three mobile device windows to be active simultaneously to facilitate tasks, as well as the transmission of documents images by dragging and dropping files from one device to another with Huawei Share.
Users can also open smartphone files on the laptop, modify them and view updates on their phone. In addition, they can also initiate video calls from the laptop by linking to the smartphone for better audio and video quality.
By pairing a Huawei tablet, the device will serve as a drawing pad or second screen. It also supports file transfer by drag and drop.
MateBook X Pro can also connect wirelessly or via a cable to a Huawei MateView, a high-resolution monitor with cinematic-level color gamut.
Price and availability The new Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 will be on sale in Mexico starting this week at Huawei Shop, Huawei’s official online store. As of January 17, it will also be available in Huawei Experience Stores with a price of 50 thousand pesos.
