After the rest on Wednesday, six hours of consecutive tests were staged at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, completing this week’s sessions.
Mortara climbed to the top of the standings shortly after the middle of the session with his 1’25 “763, ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne by 0” 04, also lowering the previous times obtained on Monday and Tuesday by Robin Frijns and Antonio Felix da Costa.
The Swiss remained in first place most of the time, with Vergne setting his best performance in the first hour.
Third was Stoffel Vandoorne’s Mercedes, followed by Mitch Evans with Jaguar Racing and Pascal Wehrlein’s Porsche.
Two red flags interrupted the operations on the track: the first for Oliver Askew in a spin at turn 8 after only 15 minutes. Recovered from a tractor and brought back to the track, the Andretti Autosport driver reached the pits and finished the day 17th.

The second took place an hour later, when Sergio Sette Camara’s Dragon Penske Autosport stopped at turn 7. The South American finished 19th.
Returning to the classification, we have Nyck De Vries sixth, ahead of the Envision Racing of Nick Cassidy and Frijns, with Felix da Costa ninth on the second DS Techeetah.
Alexander Sims (Mahindra Racing) completes the Top 10 behind Sam Bird and Jake Dennis.
Adam Carroll instead took over from Dan Ticktum in NIO 333, as the youngster flew to Jeddah for F2. The Irishman finished 21st with a time of 1’28.192, behind Oliver Turvey.
In Dragon Penske Autosport they did not replace Antonio Giovinazzi, who also went to Saudi Arabia to compete in his penultimate Formula 1 race with Sauber Alfa Romeo.
