The gameplay of Hogwarts Legacy that was revealed yesterday, left more than one person happy, since the work of Avalanche Software looks incredible. However, everything we saw also created a couple of doubts, and many wonder if this title will have microtransactions. Fortunately, we already have an answer on that.
During the gameplay that was shown in the State of Play we could see that Hogwarts Legacy It will have management mechanics, scenario improvements and extensive customization, systems that many today associate with microtransactions. In this way, many began to wonder if this title will have a market with products that can be obtained with real money. Faced with these doubts, Chandler Wood, the studio’s community manager, has revealed that this will not be the case. This was what he commented:
“We have seen this question come up and we want to set the record straight.
There are no microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy.”

While this game will not have microtransactions, other people wonder why making a potion takes real time. Unfortunately, Wood did not offer an answer to this question, although this was most likely implemented to offer greater immersion to the player. The only thing that is clear is that once you buy your copy of Hogwarts Legacy, you won’t have to invest a penny moreUnless DLC is announced in the future.
Hogwarts Legacy will be available on consoles and PC in the holiday season 2022. On related topics, it has been revealed that this game is also coming to Nintendo Switch. Similarly, here you can check the gameplay of the State of Play.
Editor’s note:
At this point, it seems like you always have to ask if a game has microtransactions. Although the possibility of seeing DLC in the future is not ruled out, it is good to see that a AAA game of this level does not require a person to invest more money.
