The person injured in the shooting has been taken to hospital.
The police caught up with the suspect and arrested him in Helsinki’s Pirkkola.
According to the police, it is safe to move around the scene, and bystanders are no longer in immediate danger from the incident. The police will inform more about the incident on Friday at the earliest.
