In social networks and media they circulate videos where are they seen hooded menthose who they deny that has been a mounting his meeting with presidential candidate Claudia Sheinbaum in Motozintla, Chiapas.

“They are saying that this is a montage, no gentlemen, this is not a montage, this is real,” emphasizes a young man in front of the camera that records him, and behind him you can see dozens of hooded men and those that can be seen with the naked eye. unarmed.

He previously commented that this message was for everyone, “and more than anything for the president of the Mexican Republic.”

The same young man who speaks clarifies that they are hooded to avoid reprisals “from the opponents up there.”

In a description of the video it is read that they are residents of Motozintla, in the mountains of Chiapas, and that they also claim to be self-defense groups and that they organized because “they refuse to pay fees and housing rights” (to criminals).

As you may remember, last Sunday, hooded men stopped Claudia Sheinbaum to make some requests. At the time, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, stated that it was a setup, and accused a national media outlet that was very critical of his government (Latinus) of it.

In the media Animal Político, it is reported that in other videos, the hooded young man who speaks on behalf of his group, indicates that they are only protecting their city, which is for the safety of themselves and their families.

“Let them tell things as they are, we do this three times a week taking care of our town from those who want to come and collect fees from us, zero extortion, we want to be free as before,” it is reported.

On April 22, a little more than a kilometer from the Motozintla sports unit, Chiapas, hooded men blocked Sheinbaum's way to ask him some questions.

“When you are in power, remember the mountains, remember the poor people, donita, 'just' that's what we want to tell you. “We are not against the government, keep that in your mind, we are not against you,” they told him.
