The Mercadona supermarket chain publishes new job offers from time to time to cover the needs of its vast network of establishments, distributed throughout the country. Some vacancies that increase in certain periods of the year due to the increase in activity, as is the case of Christmas or summer in coastal municipalities.
Thus, Mercadona currently offers through its website a total of 14 job offers in the Region of Murcia, corresponding to establishments located in Alcantarilla, Yecla, Jumilla, Mula, San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier, Los Alcázares, Totana, Alhama de Murcia, Mazarrón, Torre Pacheco, Fuente Álamo, Santomera, Archena, Murcia, Molina de Segura, Puerto Lumbreras, Cartagena, La Manga and Lorca. It should be noted that some of these job offers cover several municipalities, hence the number of locations is higher than the number of vacancies.
The bulk of these offers are aimed at reinforcing the staff of the Valencian chain in the busiest campaigns, and some of them are part-time, as is the case of Yecla and Jumilla. This Wednesday, Mercadona published a new job offer to work in the Region of Murcia: a temporary position in an establishment in Alcantarilla.

Salary and working hours
Regarding working conditions, in the case of full-time positions, Mercadona offers contracts of 40 hours per week, distributed over five days, from Monday to Saturday, with two days off. The shifts are rotating in the morning and afternoon and the Valencian chain offers paid practical training. The gross salary is 1,425 euros per month.
In the case of part-time contracts offered by Mercadona, these range between 3 and 8 p.m., with weekly shifts that vary depending on the type of contract. In this case, practical training is also paid and the gross salary is 534 euros for 15-hour contracts and 712 euros for 20-hour contracts.

From Mercadona they point out that the “wide variety of products” they offer implies that workers must know “different functions, products and positions so that contact with the client is the most appropriate.” In this way, they establish that all employees must be trained to perform tasks of reception, storage, replenishment and prescription of products.
