Located in the Lorraine region of eastern France, Amnéville Zoo is home to around 2,000 animals. These include 40 species considered endangered: from Siberian tigers to white rhinos, gorillas and squirrel monkeys. About 150 zoo employees work around the clock to care for the animals. Preserving endangered species and educating visitors about threats to wildlife are also key parts of their daily tasks.
