The Good Life he will receive his first on March 9th DLCsBehind the Secret of Rainy Woods, whose announcement, however, was accepted among the controversyto the point that Hidetaka himself SWERY Suehiro was forced to respond on the merits on social media.
As you will recall, in our review of The Good Life we talked about a fundamentally modest title spoiled by huge technical problems: criticality that users have evidently tied themselves to the finger, given the negative clamor aroused by the presentation of the DLC.
The general perception is that in fact the twelve quests included in the package should have been free for those who bought the game, as compensation for the poor quality of the basic experience, but SWERY clearly did not see this in the same way and expressed his reasons on Twitter.
“Please explain to me why we creators, who work tirelessly every day to make games, should update our titles for free,” SWERY wrote. “All of you also pay $10 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Is the world going crazy?”
The replies to the game designer’s message, as expected, pointed the finger at the problems of The Good Life and at a practice deemed incorrect, that is, that of improving a mediocre game (in this case by adding content) through a paid update.
