Karasin: Kyiv’s request to allow strikes on the Russian Federation proves the hopelessness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Ukraine’s appeal to the United States with a request to lift restrictions on the use of weapons and allow them to carry out strikes on Russian territory once again proves that Kyiv feels the hopelessness of its own situation, said Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs. The senator shared his opinion in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
“Increasingly, crazy ideas are being heard to escalate the confrontation with us. A feeling of hopelessness prevails in Kyiv now. Moreover, the legal term of office of the President is ending soon. [Украины Владимира] Zelensky. They want to overshadow this with some provocative large-scale rumors, which, in their opinion, should help them get out of this situation,” Karasin commented.
We can’t expect anything constructive or anything more realistic from the Kyiv regime

Earlier, the American newspaper Wall Street Journal, citing government and Pentagon officials, reported that Kyiv had approached Washington with a request to lift restrictions on the use of weapons and allow them to carry out strikes on Russian territory. It is noted that the corresponding request was made last week.
Kyiv asked the United States to determine the targets at which the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) can strike, and also to lift the corresponding restrictions. In addition, Ukraine asked the Pentagon to share intelligence and help identify targets on Russian territory that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could strike with their own weapons. The appeal is currently under consideration.
