YouTuber MrMattyPlays had the opportunity to interview Todd Howardand from this occasion some interesting information also emerged on Starfieldlike the data on the new one milestone of players achieved from Bethesda’s space RPG and the average amount of time invested from each of these within it.
It is not explained how the data was detected, but based on what Todd Howard reported it seems that Starfield has reached its 14 million playersprobably between PC and Xbox, thus marking an increase compared to the latest data, which spoke of 13 million players at the end of 2023.
There has therefore been an increasing trend regarding the user base over the months, although obviously this has slowed down considerably compared to the launch period, where expansion was explosive.
Every player spends a significant amount of time on it
It must also be considered that this quantity probably includes the users who use it through Game Passtherefore the data should not be assimilated to sales, although these parameters have different importance for Microsoft.
What particularly stands out, however, is the fact that each registered player, on average, spent a significant amount of time on the game.
According to Howard, the 14 million player base averaged 40 hours of gameplay eachwhich beyond the quantity of users demonstrates a notable average involvement for each of these within the game world.
Starfield recently received a big update in June with the arrival of the mods, which however also attracted various controversies, especially from Steam users because some of these are paid and would be poorly controlled in terms of quality.
