You thought that the news for 30 years of Sonic the Hedgehog were over now? Well you were wrong: at the end of 2021, with a surprise announcement LEGO wanted to give another gift to the most famous hedgehog in video games: a set dedicated to the historic Green Hill Zone level.
The reproduction of the first, unforgettable level of 1991’s Sonic the Hedgehog was proposed by Viv Grannell on the LEGO Ideas platform and will see the light on January 1, 2022. The set includes 1,125 pieces, plus minifigures of Sonic, Dr. Eggman, his Eggmobile and two of the annoying monsters that haunt the Green Hill Zone.
Fans will recognize the signature “loop of the death” that can never be missing in Sonic levels, the rings, the power-ups and even the full set of the 7 Emeralds of Chaos. The whole there will require a space of 36x17x6cm and will come with a special exhibitor at a cost of € 69.99.
Find all the information about the Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone LEGO Ideas set on the official website. We also point out that Sonic Colors Ultimate is currently available at a discounted price at this link, along with themed merchandise.
