Rospatent revoked the trademark of the British oil and gas company Shell
British oil and gas company Shell has no plans to return to Russia. Rospatent has revoked the company’s trademark, so now the famous red-and-yellow shell logo can be used everywhere throughout the country. This is reported by Telegram-Mash channel.
After the start of the special military operation (SVO), the company announced its withdrawal from the Russian market, but it expected to retain the trademark. In March 2022, Shell representatives applied to register the logo and later received a notification that they had to pay a fee, but the money was never sent.
Having received nothing, Rospatent decided that Shell Brands International AG no longer needed the trademark. The application was declared withdrawn. Now manufacturers of motor oils, lubricants, charging stations and other automotive products can continue to use the logo completely free of charge.
