ElAnalistaDeBits has proposed a new one video in which he compares Resident Evil 4 in its original version and in its remake version for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S. You can see the video above. Recall that the gameplay sequences of Resident Evil 4 Remake were shown at the recently aired Capcom Showcase 2022.
As ElAnalistaDeBits explains, even before noticing technical changes, you need to know that in the remake version of Resident Evil 4 the initial setting changes from dawn to night. The original version, in the early stages, is bright but, according to what we saw in the trailer, the remake will let us explore the first part of the game in the dark. Some environmental elements allow us to understand which parts of the original game were exploited for the Resident Evil 4 Remake trailer, but obviously the differences are huge.
There also appears to have been some changes in the level structure: in the original, the first house was reached without entering the thick of the forest, while in the remake it seems that there will be a little more exploration to do. The amount of detail and graphics also appears to have been increased in the Resident Evil 4 remake. The house, for example, appears to be completely different on the inside, with bones and remains of corpses that were not present in the original. We also see some brighter areas, which confirm that the game will not be completely set during the night.
Overall, Capcom’s work makes a good first impression. What do you think about it?
