The platform that represents the families of Israeli hostages in the custody of the terrorist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip demanded this Saturday (1st) that the country’s authorities approve the truce plan announced this Friday (31st) by the president of the United States, Joe Biden.
The group, which like every week demonstrated this Saturday night to demand an agreement that allows the release of those kidnapped, “will contact all members of the Cabinet in the coming hours [de Guerra]the government and the Knesset [Parlamento] and will require immediate approval of the plan,” according to a brief statement.
The plan announced this Friday by Biden, which has already been sent to Hamas terrorists through the mediation of Qatar, envisages three phases in which several exchanges of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners would take place, while troops would gradually withdraw from the enclave and be placed implementing a reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed that it had authorized its negotiators to present a truce project to Hamas to free the hostages, but made it clear that the war will not end until it achieves its military objectives, which include the total elimination of Hamas’ military and government capabilities in Gaza.
The terrorist group, in turn, said it views the truce proposal “positively” in terms of a “definitive ceasefire”, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave, the reconstruction of Gaza and the exchange of prisoners, and assured that it was willing to deal constructively with any plan that includes these points.
