Middle Finland On Saturday morning, the rescue service was tasked with rescuing a person from the terrain in Pihtiputaa. Four rescue units were dispatched to the scene.
The jetty on the Putaanvirta had detached itself from the shore and started sailing towards Lake Alvajärvi with the person repairing the jetty on board.
A bystander noticed the pier and the person traveling on it unexpectedly leaving the beach, who reported the incident to the emergency center at 10:44 a.m. The situation happened in Pihtiputa’s Pääkkölä area, where, according to the rescue service, there is some population.
The person got back to the shore with the pier on his own. According to the rescue service’s understanding, the person drifted along the pier for a few minutes and finally ended up on the opposite shore. According to the rescue service, the person did not have more than an arm with him.
The rescue officials who went to the scene interviewed the person on the spot and left.
