“We will improve and expand the size of the single allowance”
“Absolutely yes. Some aspects can be improved but there is no plan to remove the instrument.” The Undersecretary of Labor Claudio Durigon, interviewed by Affaritaliani.itconfirms that the inclusion income will be confirmed in the Budget Law also for 2025. As regards the single allowance, “the instrument that works well will certainly be renewed and there may be some technical improvements”. Among these, for example, it was hypothesized to make the first house weigh less in the ISEE calculation… “Exactly, these are technical changes that we will evaluate. Some parameters could change but to improve and expand the tool.”
Moving on to the topic of pensions, Durigon confirms that there will be cost of living indexation for next year too. “Certainly, it is normal and is linked to the ISTAT data basket on inflation. Then we will carefully study the division into bands in order to give greater strength to those who receive less, but there will be a positive change for everyone”. Will there be an increase in minimum pensions? “We have always given priority to them, it will be difficult to reach 1,000 euros, but support for the minimum is guaranteed in this case equalization contributes”.
Finally leaving work. It will be confirmed in 2025 Quota 103 like today or will there be changes to the measurement? “We are working and evaluating Quota 41 for everyone and in any case fairer and more sustainable flexibility tools when leaving work. Nowadays the formula of the contributory system clearly prevails over the salary system and therefore we will work to improve the current rule and make it easier to leave work. We cannot allow it to reach 69 perhaps by dying at work”. Quota 41 for everyone as early as 2025? “It is under discussion, we will see the state of the public accounts but I do not rule it out”, concludes Undersecretary Durigon.
