The program Not even if we were, heir to the spirit of Save me and which has a good part of its visible faces and the same producers, was born on May 15 on Quickie, a channel streaming newly created. Although its idea was to broadcast on networks, with YouTube and Twitch as the main media, the announcement of the launch made other broadcast channels interested in a format that promised to recover the hooliganism and impudence of what was Telecinco’s flagship space for 14 years. years. The good reception of the program has been such that, just one week after its launch, they have already announced an agreement with the channel Ten so that its broadcast, from Monday to Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., also takes place on DTT with national coverage. . In this way, it can be said that the spirit of Save me returns to national television.
It will be from June 3 when Ten, a channel owned by the Secuoya group and operated by Mediapro that was born in April 2016, will also broadcast Not even if we were, a program presented by María Patiño and whose collaborators include Belén Esteban, Lydia Lozano, Kiko Matamoros, Chelo García Cortés and Víctor Sandoval. In the program itself, César Toral has explained some details of this change, which represents an expansion of the format’s coverage, such as that broadcasts on YouTube and Twitch will continue. It will also continue in all the media with which they already had closed agreements, such as FAST channel platforms, regional DTT channels and some websites.
As explained by a spokesperson for the program’s production company, Fabricantes Studio, to EL PAÍS, the space will continue to be broadcast from its offices as before. It will maintain its current format, with a table around which collaborators chat and occasional connections with other places. As the Ten channel, being a commercial station, has interruptions for advertising, the program will make way for these interruptions but will continue to broadcast on YouTube and Twitch continuously. “Ten will maintain its advertising strategy, although it will adapt its location to adapt to the new format and the competition segment,” explains a spokesperson for the channel. Ten will be the only DTT channel where the program is broadcast live (the Atlántico TV channel, from the Canary Islands, broadcasts it on its prime time). Asked by EL PAÍS, the producer has not clarified whether the transfer of the program to Ten has been free or if there is a financial agreement behind it.
The space has achieved good tracking data since its launch that has been increasing. Between YouTube and Twitch views, there has been an average of 40,000 devices throughout the three hours that the program lasts.
Ten’s programming, which is available on free DTT, is specialized in content factualwith lifestyle spaces and series like House, Monk either Cobra Alert. Last April it achieved its best audience figure with 1,258% screen share.
