The Scottish Football Association (SFA) has confirmed that its team will not play against Russia “at any level” as long as the current circumstances continue after the invasion of Ukraine.

Scotland joins the federations of England and Wales, which have also shown their support for the Ukrainian country and rejection of the Russian after the war declared by Vladimir Putin.
The SFA, in addition, offered to provide all the help that is necessary to Ukraine so that the national team can prepare for both men’s and women’s international matches.
Scotland will play Ukraine in the playoff semifinals for the Qatar World Cup on March 24, while the women’s teams will meet on April 8 in a World Cup qualifier.
“This will be our position for any party at the international level. The president of the SFA, Rod Petrie, has written to his counterpart in the Ukrainian federation to send a message of support, friendship and unity”the SFA said in a statement.
