In the Ulyanovsk region, about eight thousand houses were left without electricity due to a blizzard. It is reported by Interfax with reference to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies for the Russian region.
The department clarified that 19 settlements were partially disconnected from the electricity. In total, 7,616 houses suffered from the disaster, leaving 16,470 Russians without electricity.
80 people and 26 pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the power industry accident.
Earlier in December, over 78 thousand Russians in five regions of Yakutia were left without electricity. The reason was the accident at the 221st support of the Maya-Churapcha power line. There the wire was pulled and the insulation touched.
