The CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadellatalking with Bloombergdiscussed the acquisition of Activision Blizzard and he said he was “very confident” that the deal will be approved even if the UK Competition and Markets Authority carries out a more in-depth investigation into the deal.
“Obviously, any acquisition of this size will be scrutinized, but we are very, very confident that we will get out of it“said Nadella who later added that Microsoft is the fourth or fifth largest competitor in the video game industry and Sony is the largest.”So if it’s about competition, let us compete“, he said.
Microsoft’s CEO believes Microsoft will be able to cope with a weaker economy and rising inflation while helping its customers resist. “The constraints are real: inflation is definitely around us“, he has declared. “I always come back to the point that in an uncertain time, in an inflationary time, software is the force of deflation“.
