United States.- Austin police arrested an alleged car thief with a strange name, since the subject is named after the lead robot from the movie Transformers, Optimus Prime.
According to court documents, Optimus Prime Blakely, 37 years oldfaces a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The affidavit says officers stopped Blakely on Tuesday after they caught him driving a stolen vehicle on Congress Avenue near Radam Lane in South Austin.
The man with the name inspired by “Transformers” He remains in the Travis County Jail with bail set at $8,000.
It should be noted that the real Optimus Prime would be very disappointed in the man named like him, since the famous robot from the movies is considered an ally of justice.
