The Israeli Army killed, in the early hours of Wednesday (12), Hezbollah commander Taleb Sami Abdallah “Al-Haj Abu Taleb”, the highest-ranking officer eliminated by the country since October, according to security sources.
In addition to the leadership of the Lebanese faction, three other militants were killed in the bombings.
The militia, which began attacking Israel the day after the Hamas massacre on October 7, has claimed more than ten attacks against the country since Tuesday night (11), in which it launched around 80 rockets and other projectiles, which caused new fires on Israeli territory.
This Wednesday morning, Hezbollah once again bombarded Israel with more than 160 rockets from Lebanon towards different points in northern Israel, including the Lower Galilee region, fired in two different batches: a first with 90 and the other with 70 projectiles.
This is one of the largest attacks launched in terms of number and scope from Lebanese territory since October last year, as for the first time the projectiles hit the city of Tiberias, 65 kilometers from the border, and other locations even further south where the Alarms did not stop sounding.
“Several projectiles were intercepted and others fell in different locations in northern Israel. As a result, fires broke out in several areas,” an Israeli army statement said, adding that they attacked a rocket launcher from which Hezbollah fired the first 90 projectiles. According to emergency services, there are still no reports of injuries.
So far, Hezbollah has claimed six waves of rockets at Israel, including several at Sheeba Farms, an Israeli-administered territory in the Golan Heights and historically disputed by Lebanon and Syria, and at the Israeli military base on Mount Meron.
