The social networking platform Instagram is testing the ability to convert all videos posted by users on the platform to the Rails section on it, as the company said that the change that is currently being tested with a select number of users in the world is part of its plan to simplify the broadcast and display of videos on the platform.
“We are testing this feature as part of our efforts to simplify and improve video viewing on Instagram,” a spokesperson for Meta Platforms, which owns Instagram, was quoted by TechCrunch, which specializes in technology, in an email.
And Matt Navarra, a social networking consultant, posted a picture on Twitter, which he said was part of the test that users will see with a message saying, “Videos are now shared by Rails.”
The message indicates that if the user’s account is public, he can broadcast any video to appear in the Rails section, where any user can access the Rails of that user. This user can also use his original voice to create the reel
his own.
In the event that the user’s account is closed, the videos that will be broadcast on his Realm section will be available only to his followers.
The message also indicates that once a user broadcasts a video on Real Estate, any other user can remix the user’s videos on Real Estate if the account is public. However, the user can prevent the remixing of videos through his account settings.
