In Tbilisi, a rally is taking place in front of the Georgian Parliament building against the adoption of the law on foreign agents, reports RIA News.
Citizens gathered on Rustaveli Avenue, they decided to walk around the legislative building in a circle with their hands raised in protest.
Special forces units arrived at the entrance to parliament, but the protesters have not yet received warning signals from law enforcement officers.
On the afternoon of April 15, a fight broke out in the Georgian parliament during a discussion of the controversial law on foreign agents. The leader of the opposition party Citizens, Aleko Elisashvili, hit the executive secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, MP Mamuka Mdinaradze.
Prior to this, a march took place in Tbilisi against the adoption of this bill. People with flags of Georgia and the European Union took to the streets of the city.
