After having soared in the Free Practice of what is the penultimate event of the Sprint Cup 2022, the Saintéloc Junior Team is confirmed at the top with the R8 LMS # 25 driven by Aurélien Panis /Patric Niederhauser in 1’31 “694, a time of a few hundredths worse than the morning.
The four-ringed four-ring cars – all of the PRO Class – served with the second half signed by Charles Weerts /Dries Vanthoor in the # 32 of Team WRT, just ahead of the two cars prepared by the Tresor by Car Collection for Christopher Haase/ Simon Gachet (# 11) and Lorenzo Patrese /Mattia Drudi (# 12).
The new faces of the series, Mattia Di Giusto /Jonathan Cecottoclimbed to the Top5 with the Lamborghini # 888 of LP Racing and in command of the Silver Cup Class (in which they were promoted by the organizers by correcting Di Giusto’s license from Bronze to Silver) keeping behind their rivals in the category Ulysse De Pauw/ Pierre Alexandre Jean, busy with the AF Corse Ferrari 488 # 53.

In seventh place overall – fifth PRO – is the Audi # 46 of Valentino Rossi e Frédéric Vervisch: the WRT Team crew climbs the rankings compared to the morning thanks to the best time signed by the Belgian in the first part of the tests, before giving the wheel to the ‘Doctor’.
Behind are their teammates Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer /Christopher Mies with the Audi # 33 and the Lamborghini # 663 that Imperiale Racing brings to the debut in the series with Alberto Di Folco/ Albert Costa.
They complete the Top10 Alex Aka/ Nicolas Schöll in the Audi # 99 of Attempto Racing, obtaining the third time in Silver, while it is necessary to go down to 15th place to find the Mercedes-AMG # 89 of Timur Boguslavskiy /Raffaele Marciello (Akkodis-ASP).
In the PRO-AM Class there is alternation between McLaren and Ferrari. Patryk Krupinski’s 720S # 111 /Norbert Siedler leads in 1’32 “627 with almost 0” 4 in the 488 # 52 of Louis Machiels /Andrea Bertolini (AF Corse), whose comrades Hugo Delacour /Cédric Sbirrazzuoli (# 21) find themselves fourth, behind Miguel Ramos’ 720S # 188 /Dean Macdonald.
Qualifying 1 is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9.30 and will determine the starting grid for Race 1, set at 15.00.
