Georgia|The Georgia parliament approved the bill on Tuesday by a vote of 84-30.
Georgian president Salome Zurabishvili did not confirm the controversial foreign influence law against which sentiment has been expressed in the country. Zurabišvili used his veto against the bill passed by the parliament, as he had previously said he would do.
The Georgia parliament approved the bill on Tuesday by a vote of 84-30. The EU and the military alliance NATO have called on Georgia to back down on passing the law.
It is thought that the president’s decision will probably only delay the process, since the parliament can still override the president’s veto with a simple majority.
