PARIS (Reuters) – France and its western allies Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States will remain “on the lookout” of potential “aggressive initiatives” by Russia towards Ukraine, the French presidential office said on Tuesday.
“The five leaders reaffirmed their determination to work together to guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and ensure its stability and security,” the cabinet said after a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron to his counterparts in the so-called “Qint” group.
“In that sense, they remain vigilant about aggressive initiatives that could be taken by Russia towards Ukraine.”
