Masters The chaos of the league’s final in Paris is being investigated, says Uefa on their website. The Football Association says it has commissioned an independent report that will look at decision-making, responsibilities and the actions of all those who took part in the finals.
“Data is being collected from all relevant parties,” Uefa said.
According to Uefa, the report’s findings will be made public.
French ministers held a crisis meeting with Uefa and French police on Monday over the final chaos. Saturday’s match between Liverpool and Real Madrid was delayed by more than half an hour as spectators fetched tickets to enter the stadium.
According to the French sports minister, there were between 30,000 and 40,000 Liverpool supporters in Paris with a fake ticket to the match or no ticket at all. Fake flags confused the stadium entrance gates.
On Monday, Uefa decided to pay a rebate to the 2,700 fans who redeemed the right ticket who could not make the match due to the chaos.
Real Madrid won the match 1-0.
