A Russian has been sentenced to five years of hard labor for spreading “deliberately false information” about the military in a street interview. In a conversation with journalists from the United States-funded Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, he spoke critically about the war in Ukraine. An American spokesperson for social media company Meta Platforms has also been convicted in absentia in Russia.
