Zuckerberg: Facebook censored content on the platform under pressure from Biden
Head of Meta Corporation (recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation) Mark Zuckerberg admitted to censoring content on the company’s social networks under pressure from the administration of US President Joe Biden. He said this stated in a letter to the chairman of the US House Judiciary Committee, Jim Jordan, which he published on the social network H.
Zuckerberg said Biden administration officials have repeatedly pressured the company to censor COVID-19-related content, “including humor and satire.” The Facebook chief (social network banned in Russia) also noted that the White House “expressed great displeasure” if the content was refused removal.
“I think the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more forthcoming about it. I firmly believe that we should not compromise our content standards because of pressure from any administration,” Zuckerberg said.
Earlier, Chris Pawlowski, founder of Canadian video hosting service Rumble, said that France had crossed a red line by detaining Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov. According to him, Paris had also threatened Rumble.
