A few days after the confirmation of the Formula 1 calendar for next season, another news arrived today from Formula 2, with the official communication of dates and circuits which will host the competitions of next championship. Just like this year, they will be 14 the scheduled events, and without any innovation represented by the venues that will host the events.
The start in Australia
What will change, however, will be the order of the race weekends compared to those of 2024. Contrary to what happened a few months ago, in fact, it will not be Bahrain that will host the first round of the season, but theAustralia. To respect the month of Ramadan, Melbourne will open the championship over the weekend from March 14th to 16th, with the series moving almost a month later to Bahrain and then to Saudi Arabia. TO Half mayagain after a break of almost a month, Imola will become home to the first European round, with the stay in the Old Continent ending in Italy, a MonzaIn the first weekend of September (from 5 to 7).
Finally, the last three races are decisive: after the appointment in Azerbaijan (also in September), the last two events will take place between the end of November and the beginning of December in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, for Abu Dhabiwhere the season will definitively end from 5 to 7 December: “I am very pleased to announce the 2025 F2 calendar, which will include the same number of races as the current season: fourteen – declared the CEO of F2 Bruno Michel – it’s the right balance between European and away races, across three continents and taking into account the costs for our teams and drivers. It’s also a good mix between old school and more modern tracks, which have seen exciting F2 racing in recent years. I’m sure it will be like this in 2025 too.”
