Enel SP announced to the market that the company’s board of directors approved this Wednesday, 29th, the name of Guilherme Gomes Lencastre for the position of CEO.
The executive will replace Max Xavier Lins, who had been in the position since 2018. According to the relevant fact released by Enel SP, he “resigned from the aforementioned position to take up new roles in the Enel Group”.
Lencastre has been working in the group for 10 years and was until then the president of the Board of Directors of Enel SP.

The position of president of the Board of Directors, previously held by Lencastre, will now be held by Damian Popolo, elected at an Extraordinary General Meeting also held this Wednesday.
“The Directors expressed their gratitude for the valuable contributions of Messrs. Guilherme Gomes Lencastre and Max Xavier Lins, during their terms, respectively as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the Company”, added the statement.
At the end of last year, Enel Brasil announced the change of command of the company in the country. Executive Antonio Scala became the new CEO, replacing Nicola Cotugno, who left the Italian group after five years in the role.
