Juarez City.- “Esmeralda lives, lives; “The fight goes on and on,” is part of the slogans with which José Luis Castillo Carreón has traveled the country for 15 years in search of his daughter who disappeared in Ciudad Juárez, at the age of 14.
Far from the youngest of his three children, yesterday, Father’s Day, the man from Juarez lamented that the authorities still have not given answers about the whereabouts of Esmeralda Castillón Rincón, who on May 19, 2009 left her home, located in the Postal neighborhood. , northwest of Juárez, to go to Secondary School 79 in the Cementera neighborhood, but he never returned.
In the company of his wife, Martha Alicia Rincón, his two oldest children, his seven grandchildren and his great-granddaughter, the 64-year-old father claimed that “the authorities are still not working, throwing the ball at each other,” so he took advantage the family meeting to plan the next actions to demand the search for their daughter.
“We are planning an action before the federal authorities to search for Esmeralda alive and in the field, we want to hold a public hearing in the federal courts. We are seeking for the Local Search Commission to separate itself from the State Attorney General’s Office, for it to be totally independent,” said the searcher father.
It became a reference
José Luis became a father on August 14, 1980, when his daughter Olivia was born; On January 13, 1988 he celebrated the birth of his second son, Junior; and on January 28, 1995, he saw the birth of his third daughter, Esmeralda, who disappeared 14 years later in the streets of this border.
Since then, the Castillo Rincón family has dedicated themselves to searching for her in Juárez, the Valley and other parts of Mexico, which is why the images of José Luis have gone viral on social networks, because he is always present at feminist marches representing from her daughter.
