Culiacán, Sinaloa.- In the Center for Rehabilitation and Special Education, the State Forum of the Sinaloa DIF System “Well-being for families” which aims to make visible the daily work carried out by DIF Sinaloa, in favor of the most vulnerable families.

The director of care for the elderly and social integration, Dr. Elizabeth Montoya Morales, in her participation explained the series of supports that are provided to homeless older adults who are transferred to the different DIF care centers, seeking to improve the quality of life of these people through medical care.

Likewise, the director of plantation and special programs, Dr. Miriam Noemí Verdugo Mendoza, spoke of the creation of the “Wellness Brigades” that started in Batequitas Badiraguato, this in its first stage where 21 communities from 13 municipalities were visited, benefiting more of 11 thousand families in 21 days, mentioned that the second stage of the brigades will continue until the end of the 18 municipalities of the State of Sinaloa.
The director of the Center for Inclusive Education and Emotional Health said that today and as a result of the covid-19 pandemic, there are more patients who come to receive mental care for anxiety disorders.
The coordinator of the CADI-CAIC program added that the optimal conditions in an educational center are essential for the proper functioning, development and care, therefore it is important to assess civil protection to care for the integrity of those who work there and receive care.
On behalf of the Comprehensive Center for Visual Impairment, Dr. Ricardo Chávez spoke about the problem of cataracts, which is the main cause of blindness in Mexico, saying that 7% of the population has visual problems, and CIDIS has areas of attention and sizes, with ophthalmological consultations, rehabilitation, language and psychological therapy.
The director of the community development area, Analisbe Lugo Contreras, stated that the main purpose is to help the most vulnerable communities in Sinaloa, especially rural communities that do not have access to health and food services.
On the part of the volunteers of the DIF Sinaloa system, they commented on the work that is done for the good of others and of the less fortunate people, support that comes through the efforts made by the volunteers themselves.
Finally, the director of food and social assistance, Cristel Fernández Bojórquez, announced that it is an area that is responsible for the delivery of pantries to families with the greatest needs in remote communities with opportunities to access good food.
