Conflicts and strong interests arise around waste in towns and cities, and of course, if the garbage of some is the treasure of others.
In the 1950s, the El Castillo Viejo fishing camp was experiencing the shrimp boom. It belonged to the then union of Navolato, municipality of Culiacán, since the first municipality of Navolato was established in 1982 under the regime of Antonio Toledo Corro.
The fishermen lived a life of luxury, money flowed in abundance and intoxicating drinks too, to the extent that a canteen owned by Don Fidel Valenzuela was installed in El Castillo, which was filled with all kinds of clients every day.
Cayetano sold raw milk from house to house in El Castillo, he came from the nearby town of El Molino, and for this he used an old donkey that he carried about 70 liters.
Cayetano trusted milk, but on payday he went into the canteen and came out like a screaming top, to the point that one day he was thrown out and didn’t know anything, he slept in the tavern until the next day.
Cayetano went to look for his donkey in the street, where he had tied it up, but surprise! It was turned into a zebra, two mischievous men from El Castillo, called Malelo and El Grey, had decorated it with black and white stripes with oil paint.
The donkey brayed pitifully, was damaged, and died a few days later due to the effect of the paint, and Cayetano’s delivery of milk and his drunkenness came to an end… What a hard blow!
