Former president gathers supporters at 10 am this Sunday (Apr 21) in a trailer concentrated in Copacabana, Rio
The former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said he will ask for a round of applause for Elon Musk, owner of X (former Twitter), at this Sunday's demonstration (21 April 2024) in Copacabana, Rio.
“I'm going to ask for a round of applause for the man who promotes democracy in the world, Elon Musk”, Bolsonaro told the magazine Look.
The former Chief Executive holds the event after Musk's clash with Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court). The businessman claims to be a defender of freedom of expression and accuses the Brazilian justice system – and more specifically Moraes – of censorship.
The case began after information from the so-called Twitter Files Brasil was leaked. This information fueled a series of reactions from Bolsonarists on social media. Now, the former president brings together his supporters in person given the international visibility of his challenges to Brazilian justice.
