Baladin is looking for new investors
Baladin, the Cuneo brewery famous for its craft beers, is preparing to welcome new investors by opening its capital and simultaneously evaluating the possibility of listing on the stock exchange in the coming years. Yesterday morning, the group launched the preliminary phase of an equity crowdfunding campaign called “Beer Revolution”, with the aim of raising up to 5 million euros. According to what was reported by Milano e finance, if the capital increase is successful, the total dilution of the three main shareholders – the Musso family (70%), Eataly founder Oscar Farinetti (16%) and the management (14%) – will be around 10%.. This is a first step towards a possible listing on the stock exchange within the next five years, an ambitious goal for Baladin.
Baladin was the first brewery to produce a completely Italian beerusing a integrated national agricultural supply chain. The company aims to achieve revenues of 50 million euros by 2028, with an average annual growth rate of 22% and a gross margin of 25%. The expected production is 100,000 hectoliters per year, with two production sites in Piozzo and Bernareggio.
The equity crowdfunding campaign is part of a large development project that aims to create a sustainable water cycle by 2028, through the construction of a well and the launch of Open Hub, the first shared brewery in Italy. This project also includes the development of the marketing and communication strategy, the expansion into international markets and the strengthening of the managerial structure. The main objective is to gensure the brewery's autonomy in water management, using sustainable water resources and recycling waste water to irrigate the surrounding fields.
The recently acquired Bernareggio plant will become the headquarters of Open Hub, involving five other Italian craft breweries. This initiative will help ensure high quality standards, product availability and a dedicated sales network.
